Accurate data is essential for shaping policies, attracting investments, and scaling energy access initiatives. To address the lack of comprehensive data on PURE adoption, KEREA partnered with SNV to conduct a baseline study on the current state of renewable energy use in Kenya’s business sector.

The Study Involved:

  • Collecting data from businesses, households, and governmen hit agencies to assess energy usage patterns.
  • Identifying opportunities and challenges in PURE adoption, helping to inform future interventions.
  • Compiling a nationwide assessment report that provided actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Presenting findings to policymakers and investors, influencing future energy strategies.
  • Laying the groundwork for policy development and financing models, ensuring a structured approach to PURE expansion.
